She was recruited out of an all-star cheerleading camp to begin her coaching career at the age of 15 teaching beginner and intermediate level classes at Jungle Gymnastics in Santa Maria, CA. She continued on to coach the Santa Maria Valley All-Star Rockets, The Lompoc All-Star Sparks, The YMCA Heat All-Star, The Santa Maria BSU Hip Hop Explosion All-Stars, assisted with Triple Threat All-Stars, and Central Coast Shockwave All-Stars all on the Central Coast of California! This is now in her 8th year of coach gymnastics, cheerleading, and dance!

Jazz/Hip Hop

Past jazz and hip hop experience is great, but even beginners will have a blast in this high energy dance class which introduces basic to advanced hip hop, the latest trends, & jazz dancing moves. Dance conditioning will be introduced to strengthen the body for more advanced hip-hop training. All movement will be modest & age appropriate and all music will be free of questionable lyrics. Students will spend time learning jazz dancing and hip hop techniques and coordinate them into a high energy routine that will be performed during our Gym South Recitals!

Jazz/Gymnastics

This is a fun upbeat class that focuses on jazz dancing as well as gymnastics fundamentals. Dance conditioning will be introduced to strengthen the body and gain control of body positions. While some students have no prior dance training, others will have several years of experience. Students will advance with their own ability levels through center work & progressions. Students will spend time coordinating their skills into a high energy routine that they will perform during Gym South Recitals!

BIOGRAPHY
SUZANNE GORDON began dancing at the age of 5, receiving ballet, modern and creative dance instruction throughout her elementary school years. She returned to dancing while in high school, taking classes and performing in the school’s production of “Grease”. She also began cheering in high school. In college, she continued with dance classes.
As a member of the advanced class/company at Dance Explosion in New York, Suzanne's classes included instruction in ballet, pointe, modern, creative, jazz & african dance. She participated in many community performances in addition to semi-annual recitals, which included solo performances. It was here that she began as a student teacher, working with the 7 – 10 yr. old intermediate classes.
In recent years, Suzanne has assisted with performance rehearsals for Born to Dance, while her daughter was a student. She has also facilitated a ”mother’s morning out” program, served as team mom for several of her sons’ baseball teams and coached cheerleading (7, 8 yr. olds) for Clayton County Parks and Recreation.
