What is your coaching style, favorite techniques, etc?
My coaching is very hands on, paying attention to proper technique and strong basics.  I believe in training the gymnasts mental strength as well as her physical conditioning. You will see me continuously over explaining the mechanics of gymnastics to my athletes until they have grasped a total understanding of what their body is doing and how to get it to do what is needed to train higher level skills.  It is not enough to do the skill, you must first understand the bio-mechanics of how it works.  I expect 110% from every athlete that I train and I in turn will give them the opportunity to train to the highest level of competition for their potential.

What is your favorite thing to do in the gym? Train a new skill with a gymnast and watch her go from having no idea what I want her to do, to nailing that skill in competition.
Why did you become a coach?
There is no greater passion in my life than gymnastics.  I want to give back to the sport that gave me so much.  I want to be responsible for taking an athlete and developing her into the greatest gymnast her
potential will allow.  I couldn't be more satisfied with where I am and what I have already accomplished.  Anything else my athletes and I can acheive will continue to drive me as a coach.  Which is not only why I became a coach, but why I continue.
What do you get out of coaching? The greatest joy, besides having my child, is when my gymnast steps out on that floor, hits a routine and looks at me for approval with that twinkle in her eye that says thank you for making this possible for me.
What is your favorite event, why? As a gymnast it was beam. It is very challenging and I had a desire to keep myself up there at all cost.  As a coach my gymnasts will tell you it is the uneven bars. The way a gymnast trains bars tells me alot about her.  Bars is unlike any other event and it takes true heart and passion to train and succeed. Not to mention how amazing it is watch someone who can really swing it
well.
What do you hope for your gymnasts to get our of their classes?
I want every gymnast I have ever trained to remember her gymnastics career as one of the greatest times
of her life.  I want her to take the physical and mental lessons that I have taught her and apply them to every aspect of her life for years to come.  I hope all my gymnasts will look back years from now and still respect and appreciate me as their coach.
Favorite gymnast? Why? Daniela Silivas, Romania.  Her Olympic Floor Routine has always stuck in my head. I really respect what she did in her career as a gymnast and she inspired me as a gymnast as well.
